About

The Peace River is a river in the southwestern part of the Florida peninsula in the USA.

It’s known for fossil hunting. In millennia past, when Florida was underwater, meglodons – giant sharks as big as buses – hunted here. Today the river is full of fossil hunters dreaming that the next shovelful of gravel will deliver a breathtaking piece of the distant past.

In 2021, my husband and I bought a beautiful place close to this breathtaking river in Arcadia. The Peace River is full of nature and serenity. Our Corgi, 2 cats and chickens love it here too.

I started the Peace River Apothecary to share my love of making soy candles, soaps, salt scrubs, shower steamers, essential oil blends and more. All are handcrafted individually with high quality natural ingredients and love. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I do.
